Delon emerged as one of the foremost European actors of the 1960s thru 1980s, and became an international sex symbol. His style, looks, and roles made him an icon of cinema worldwide, and achieved critical acclaim for his roles in several films. Died at age 88 on August 19, 2024, at his estate in Douchy, France, after having been in poor heath since suffering a stroke in 2019.
